Sharp and The Prostate Cancer Charity

Sharp Electronics (UK) decided to make the Prostate Cancer Charity its official charity for the next 18 months and potentially beyond this period. This means that not only will the company donate a significant amount of money to the charity, Sharp will also make the charity's objectives its own objectives and will utilise its resources and contacts to the fullest extent possible, to make those objectives a reality.

Funding

The Prostate Cancer Charity is inneed of funding and so Sharp have set a target of £50,000 to be raised by June 2010. We feel this is a very achievable target which we aim to outperform!

Awareness

Prostate cancer, and The Prostate Cancer charity need to be brought to the public's attention. We feel that with out brand and resources, we are ideally placed to help with this.

How we are going to do this

When we say we will use all and any resources, contacts and means available to us, we mean just that. Over the course of the next 18 months, therefore, Sharp will undertake the following activities, the list and scope of which is growing all the time!

Why would you get behind us?

Everyone, through one link or another, has potential exposure to prostate cancer. Whether you are a male yourself or have a father, brother, son or friend who might at some point in their lives be at risk - what better reason do you need than to help prevent them from being affected, or if it came to it, to provide them and the people they are close to, with the very best of care?

But if you need more - you shall have it. We are committed to making our commitment to The Prostate Cancer Charity long term. We believe the best way to do that is if we can develop as many ways as possible to make our relationships with partners and benefactors mutually beneficial.
